German AfD member gifts Chechen official daggers with swastikas in Grozny

A German member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, Murad Dadaev, recently visited Chechnya and gifted a senior Chechen official daggers bearing swastikas in Grozny. The visit, documented through social media and videos, began on March 6th and continued as of the publication date. Dadaev, known as Noah Krieger, engaged in meetings with numerous high-ranking Chechen officials during his stay, including Zamid Chalaev, commander of the Akhmat Kadyrov special police forces, and police lieutenant Khusen Alkhanov.

Notably, Krieger presented a pair of World War II German daggers adorned with swastikas to Akhmed Dudaev, the Chechen Information and Press Minister, accompanied by a caption expressing gratitude. Dudaev and Chalaev are both subject to international sanctions due to alleged war crimes committed during Russia’s conflict and the abduction of Ukrainian children. Krieger’s activities included attending a parliamentary session and sharing Instagram stories, proclaiming unity and security for the “beloved fatherland.” He also displayed handguns.

Krieger is a prominent figure in German social media with a large following, often employing nationalist and provocative rhetoric. An investigation revealed that he is the brother of Suleyman Dadaev, involved in the 2009 killing of Umar Israilov, a critic of Ramzan Kadyrov. Despite previous denials, figures associated with Kadyrov visited Krieger’s comments section.

In October 2025, Krieger was forcibly evicted from his Hanover villa due to unpaid rent. This German AfD member’s actions have raised concerns within the chechen community and beyond, highlighting connections to individuals with a history of violence and political controversy.
