Georgia, 31.03.2026 – Police in Georgia have made significant arrests following complex operations in Tbilisi, targeting supporters of neo-Nazi groups and fascist ideology. Thirteen individuals have been detained, with seven identified as minors. According to Tbilisi Police Department head, Vaja Siradze, the arrests stem from investigations revealing the group’s intent to increase visibility and spread their extremist beliefs.
These supporters engaged in brutal acts, specifically targeting individuals based on their differing ideologies. The group’s activities included physical and psychological violence, utilizing blunt and sharp objects against victims of various ages. They also engaged in robbery and extortion, often documenting these crimes and distributing the footage online.
Investigators uncovered rivalries between different neo groups, further characterized by violent actions. Ten of the arrested are minors, and four additional individuals are facing further charges related to organizing and participating in group violence. During searches, authorities seized firearms, noise weapons, cold weapons, Nazi symbols, mobile phones, masks, and electronic devices.
The investigation involves multiple articles of the Criminal Code, including charges of torture against a minor, group violence, robbery, extortion, and illegal weapon possession. Penalties for these offenses can reach up to 15 years imprisonment. Georgia’s Interior Ministry plans to continue operations against such groups and urges citizens to report any suspicious activity.
